Our Community
The Susan House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rehabilitating at-risk youth through a combination of artistic, occupational, and emotional training, along with imparting life skills. The House of Susan was established in 2002 in memory of Susan Kaplansky, who dreamed of helping young people through art.
Teenagers learn and work on creating beautiful glass, ceramics, and jewelry products, and they receive a salary for their work. A dedicated and professional team of artists, volunteers, and mental health professionals supervises and accompanies the youths throughout their work.
